Find out more about the Innovation Awards' winners here Industry professionals attended Glassman Asia, Jakarta, Indonesia on 30-31 January 2019.The event was focused on improving efficiencies in glassmaking.Exhibitors said they had a successful show and had met the relevant companies.Germany’s Isimat stated: “Thank you for the great show.More than 130 delegates from 70 companies attended the Forum, which is the only one of its kind dedicated to helping aluminium manufacturers and processors adopt digital technologies across the value chain.Organised by Quartz Business Media, the event was held in association with and consisted of a two-day conference, a ‘meeting hub’ and ‘exhibitor solution’ displays from companies including Matmatch Gmb H, Glama Maschinenbau Gmb H, FRIEM, Fives, GHI Smart Furnaces, PSI Metals, Gillespie & Powers and many more.Organisers have also reported that the number of foreign visitors increase yet again, and that representatives from 45 different countries attended the three day expo.
The show was further used by many major international brands to launch new products and services onto the global market while the keynote speaker from the USA, Steve Ashkin, drew visitors in from outside of the UK.
Other new features this year, which boosted attendance included The Carpet Cleaning Village, The Resource Management Zone and The Green Zone.
Another success that helped to create a buzz around the show was the bi-annual Innovation Awards which saw over sixty products and services entered across eight different categories.
A number of the region’s glassmakers and customers attended.
These included O-I, Mulia Glass’s container and float divisions, Pilkington, Cullet Prima Setia and Kauri Australia winemaker.
